I have released an update for the WP-Members Memberships for WooCommerce extension. This extension allows you to link a WooCommerce product to a WP-Members membership so you can sell it through WooCommerce.
The 0.4.0 release adds two key elements.
Add Memberships endpoint to the My Account screen
This setting allows you to add a “memberships” endpoint to the WooCommerce “My Account” screen. If you have a test.rocketgeek.com account, you can see this feature in action here.
The screen will list any memberships the user has, their expiration date (if applicable), and will include a “renew” button.
Remove memberships on refund
This option will automatically remove linked memberships from a user’s account when the product is refunded.
If the user has multiple purchases with different memberships, it will only remove the the memberships linked to the product being refunded. Other memberships will be ignored.
Future updates
The next release will include an update to complete the update renewal reminder email. This is going to require an update to WP-Members core and the version 3.3.0 release is preparing for this.
WP-Members 3.3.0 will change the way the user’s membership expiration dates are stored. This will be a necessary upgrade to handle the queries looking for expiring users without unnecessary overhead. You will need to make the update to WP-Members 3.3.0 in order to use the renewal reminders in the Memberships for WooCommerce extension.
